Washington DC -June 26- In response to the latest undercover video released June 25th by the Humane Society of the United States, the National Milk Producers Federation again condemns – as we did when HSUS released it first two videos in January and May – the treatment of the animals featured in the video clips.
Washington DC -May 27- USDA Secretary Ed Schafer has announced that USDA has authorized certain acreage enrolled under the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) to be available for hay and forage after the primary nesting season ends for grass-nesting birds.
Washington DC -May 8- Members of the U.S. House-Senate Farm Bill Conference Committee today moved one step closer to approving a farm bill. Principle negotiators announced they have reached an agreement on the new farm bill.

Washington DC -April 21- Getting a Farm Bill passed yet this year is a top priority for the National Farmers Union (NFU). Tom Buis, President of NFU, told WashingtonView Radio today that the House and Senate need to come to an agreement soon.

Washington DC -March 25- The U.S. Cattlemen’s Association commended U.S. Senators Max Baucus (D-MT), Ben Nelson (D-NE), Ken Salazar (D-CO) and Jeff Bingaman (D-NM) today for their recent letter to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) expressing opposition to the USDA’s proposed rule to increase meat imports from Argentina.
